About Phil & Laina
Phil and Laina Graf were married in 1988 and are the parents of five wonderful children and a growing tribe. Their ministry flows first and foremost out of their loving and life-giving family. They have spent the majority of their years of ministry developing leaders who impact communities by starting new churches. Many of these leaders say that they have been most impacted by the Graf’s “lavish hospitality, raw spirituality, and relentless commitment to push forward God’s Kingdom both locally and globally.” This is most visible in the church they started in their barn shortly after joining GTN staff.
Phil served on staff with Youth for Christ (8 yrs) before meeting Laina, and together they have served with Church Resource Ministries (11 yrs), and with Christian Associates International (7 yrs). As a family, the Grafs lived in Amsterdam for four years and in Portugal for two years before moving back to Oxnard, just outside of Los Angeles, California.
As co-founder of Divine Expedition Training, he travels throughout Africa, South America, and Asia to implement the 4 Phases and 4 Stages of Trainer Development. God has used the training to multiply movements that are disciple-making, leader-developing, and church-planting. He also serves with Global Justice Mission, speaking at conferences against sex slavery.
