We work to provide training for key women leaders and pastors’ wives, with the goal of equipping them for ministry – laying biblical foundations to strengthen their understanding of the Gospel.

Amy Carmichael. Henrietta Mears. Elisabeth Elliot. Common women with an uncommon commitment to Christ. Not only that, all of them had a thorough understanding of Scripture and theology, a distinguishing characteristic of their respective ministries. Each a tremendous leader in her own right, these women went on to impact the world. 

Tragically, most Christian women in the Majority World lack a clear understanding of God, Scripture, and their true significance and worth in Christ. Their cultures label the female gender as worthless and unimportant, even sub-human.

When women are viewed in an unbiblical manner, the whole culture suffers as a result. As missions leader and author Darrow Miller has said, “Our world is filled with nations that are unhealthy largely because half of their people are disenfranchised. The woman’s role of nurturing nations needs to be restored.”

Although people are coming to know Christ at skyrocketing rates in the Majority World, biblical knowledge and growth in spiritual maturity is significantly lacking. Discipleship is noticeably absent, and without it, the potential influence of many lives hangs in the balance.

GTN provides training for key women leaders and pastors’ wives, with the goal of equipping them for ministry – laying biblical foundations to strengthen their understanding of the Gospel.

Additionally, participants are also challenged to multiply the training beyond themselves, teaching it to other leaders who can then pass it on (2 Timothy 2:2).

Common topics include How to Study the Bible, Discipleship, Evangelism, Identity in Christ, Women as Image-bearers, Marriage, Parenting, Issues Impacting the Pastor’s Wife, Leadership and Dealing with Loss.

Pastor’s wives and women leaders are shepherding others in countless ways in their churches, communities and families. Additionally, the encouragement and support they provide to their husbands cannot be overstated. They are influencing both current and future generations, and we can invest in them by investing in the biblical and theological education of women in poverty-stricken areas around the world today. The health of these nations depends upon it.
