Nurturing Healthy Global Partnerships: A Case Study

Webinar with Joel Madson and Dr. Girma Desalegne

Why should I participate?

God displays his glory and accomplishes his purposes through healthy gospel partnerships. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. --Philippians 1:3-5

But what makes for a healthy partnership? What are some common pitfalls that can derail global partnerships? How do we avoid control and neo-colonialism, while also providing some measure of direction and accountability? What are some healthy ways to navigate cross-cultural disagreements and misunderstandings?

Pastor Girma Desalegn from Ethiopia and our own Joel Madson have enjoyed a global partnership for over a decade. In this webinar, they will share how their partnership began, how trust developed, bumps they experienced along the way, how they navigated funding and other challenges, and how the partnership has morphed over the years. Their experience and insights will help you to begin and nurture you own healthy global partnerships.

Elevating Your Zoom Training Skills

Webinar with Dr. Larry and Bego Meeker

Why should I participate?

COVID forced all of us into virtual training. GTN responded with immediate training in principles of instructing virtually. The platform of choice remains Zoom.

  1. It seems like a good time to compare notes on what we have learned.

  2. The Zoom platform has gone through a number of revisions.

  3. There may be new techniques that are worth learning. For example, how do we use Zoom's artificial intelligence (AI) companion?

Come learn the Zoom capabilities that are a “must” to master.

  1. For example, how do we efficiently instruct those we are teaching to navigate the Zoom skills they need to participate?

  2. How should we adjust our in-person training to a virtual setting…what can we keep, what do we need to change?

Come learn from our own Dr. Larry & Bego Meeker as they share their Zoom expertise and guide the discussion.

Evaluating the Impact of Your Training

2-Part Webinar with Craig Parro

How do we discern the extent to which our training is leading to lasting transformation?

Why should I participate? We have devoted our lives to training leaders—but what difference is it actually making? As we pour into leaders, how is it impacting their lives…their churches…their communities? Is our training re-shaping their attitudes, their habits, their relationships, their families, and their walk with God? How can we know? What questions should we be asking? What indicators of transformation should we be looking for?

Part 1 will provide a simple evaluation tool for your use and explore:

  1. Why evaluate? What’s the biblical case for evaluation?

  2. Why is measuring life change or impact so difficult…and so necessary?

  3. How might we determine whether learning is actually happening?

Part 2 will provide an example of a rich evaluation process and explore how we might:

  1. Identify the appropriate “indicators of transformation”

  2. Build effective feedback loops into our training process

December 4, 2025 and December 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. CST
