About Eric & Heidi
In 2003, Eric and Heidi began serving the Lord in Hungary as missionaries. Since then, they have used their gifts to lead the local and global church through pastoral ministry and short-term missions. They currently reside in the Wenatchee Valley in North Central Washington, where Heidi was a teacher in a local public school and Eric served as a lead pastor of a community church for 12 years. In 2024, they felt led to step out of ministry to the local church in order to pursue a call to serve the global church. Through GTN, they found ministry partners with a common call to use their gift of teaching and preaching in South Asia, and they ended up joining GTN staff in 2025.
As the Majority World church continues to expand, local pastors desire sound Biblical training and spiritual encouragement from the global church. On returning from a GTN trip, Eric and Heidi felt a clear call to devote their lives to that need. The Apostle Paul’s sentiment reflects that call perfectly when he writes, “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong - that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith” (Romans 1:11-12). Through partnering with GTN and indigenous church leaders, they desire to see the gospel continue to spread throughout the world to unreached areas so that the lost might be found, and believers might be strengthened in their faith.
Eric and Heidi have two adult children who are married, with many grandchildren making up their constantly growing family. They enjoy backpacking, spending time with family and baking. If you would like to learn more about their ministry, receive their newsletter or join their prayer team, please feel free to contact them.
