About Greg & Jean
Greg and Jean Ishmael joined Global Training Network in 2017 after 35+ years of pastoral ministry. They have been excited to be working with GTN, desiring to make the biggest Kingdom impact possible in this season of life. Greg and Jean have three sons, three daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren, all who live not far from them in beautiful Nampa, Idaho.
Training indigenous pastors and leaders to reach their communities and meet the ever-increasing need for discipleship in these exciting times of revival is such a privilege. Greg and Jean love assembling teams of trainers from all walks of life to serve with them. You don’t have to be a professional teacher or pastor (although retired pastors are some of our favorite trainers… all that wisdom to pass on to the next generation). A willing heart and passion to serve God is what’s most important; we’ll help you with the rest! In 2025, we’ll continue training in two more three-year classes in Kenya (3 classes of 70 students have already graduated); one class of 37 in Bangladesh; various new church plant leadership training in Cambodia; and vulnerable vulnerable children/family training in the U.S.!
In addition to training indigenous leaders and pastors, Greg and Jean love working in GTN’s Global Justice Mission. GJM’s mission statement is: "To equip indigenous leaders throughout the majority world to address issues of suffering within their cultures by bringing God's mercy and justice to bear upon the most vulnerable." Partnering with such organizations as Two Feet Project, Agape Children’s Ministry, World Without Orphans, Daughters of Cambodia, Mission25/Equip Cambodia, Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) and Faith to Action, Greg and Jean’s heart is caring for the widow and the orphan by family strengthening, “poverty orphan” prevention, and preventing trafficking and various women’s issues (James 1:27).
