About Miles & Terri

Miles’ parents were missionaries, and he had the privilege of growing up on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean. This helped him see the value of missions, church planting and leadership training from an early age. Both Miles and Terri made decisions to follow Jesus Christ early in their lives.

In 1973, Miles graduated from LeTourneau College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, then worked as an engineer and manager at Honeywell Aerospace for the next 35 years. In 2001, he earned an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird Graduate School. Terri graduated from nursing school in 1980.  Miles and Terri have three married children and eleven grandchildren.

Miles and Terri started attending Northwest Community Church in 1978, where he served as an elder and missions leader for over 30 years. While at NCC, they met Paul and Lisa Madson (founders of GTN) when Paul was a youth pastor there.  After retiring from Honeywell in 2007, Miles served on the pastoral staff of NCC for 8 years.  He joined GTN in 2015 in order to train pastors and Christian leaders in majority world countries. Miles is currently an elder and missions leader at Desert View Bible Church in north Phoenix.

Miles has helped lead short-term missions teams to many countries, including India, Grenada, Ecuador, Peru, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Czech Republic, Mexico, Uganda and Tanzania. He has also coordinated over a dozen Perspectives and Pathways classes (www.PathWaysGlobal.org) designed to mobilize and train Christians to find their role in fulfilling the Great Commission.
