Married since 1973, Rick and Kathy have three sons, 3 daughters-in-love and 11 beautiful grandchildren. After years of lay ministry, God called them into full-time work in 1999, strengthening and extending the ministry of churches in oppressed countries through evangelism, relief and development.
Working with pastoral couples and ministry leaders they saw firsthand the real need of leaders to be encouraged through the Word, equipped with the truth of scripture and empowered to train others with knowledge and resources.
Since joining Global Training Network in December of 2012, their ministry is to train leaders in peer biblical counseling, which is truly discipleship. First, learning what the Bible, not culture, teaches about life's various challenges, applying the truths of scripture to their own lives, then teaching and encouraging the hurting around them through God's Word.
They have trained hundreds of national leaders, who are now training others, in countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Dominican Republic and Nepal.
