About Chris & Tara
Chris came to saving faith in Christ in college, where he immediately threw himself into studying God's Word and discipleship. This pursuit helped him grow quickly in his faith. In 1999, he met and married his beautiful wife Tara and together they've raised four children – Taylor, Trevor, Rylee, and Alexie.
Chris served in all aspects of local church ministry for over 25 years since college, ranging from worship leading, children’s ministry, college-age ministry, counseling, preaching, discipleship, etc. In 2008, he planted Grace Church in northwest Phoenix and faithfully served as the Lead Pastor for almost 15 years. His emphasis was on encouraging and equipping the saints for the joyful work of ministry. Tara has been a vital means of grace to both Chris and the church, using her gifts in music, teaching, and discipleship to make an impact.
It's the same heartbeat that drove Chris and Tara to join the staff of Global Training Network. They want to leverage all that they've been taught and learned over the last two decades of ministry to help resource other pastors, leaders, and church planters who lack access to the same kind of training.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Arizona State University, his Master of Divinity in Great Commission Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his PhD in Organizational Leadership from Columbia International University.
