About John & Pauline
John grew up in Hong Kong, where his father and mother were both full-time ministers. He graduated with a B.A. from National Taiwan University with a major in Social Work. Later, he earned his M.A., Th. M and Doctor of Ministry degrees - all at Dallas Theological Seminary. This set a solid foundation for him in the Bible, theology and practical ministry. He was licensed for ministry by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). God then led John to Canada where he met his wife, Pauline. She graduated with a B.A. in Economics, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education. John and Pauline married in 1993 and began serving together in a variety of church settings. This led to involvement in training leaders and eventually planting three churches in Canada.
In 2005, God called John and Pauline to start Life Builder Mission (www.lifebuildermission.com) in Canada, which is a Bible-based global discipleship and mission church. In 2021, they started Life Builder Institution (www.lifebuilderinstitution.com) with a team of experienced pastors, missionaries, professional counselors, and educators. Life Builder Institution provides online and onsite global training for pastors, church leaders and church planters around the world. Their international involvement includes India, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Taiwan (and their nearby countries), as well as the U.S. and Canada on a regular basis.
John and Pauline have two adult children and currently live in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada. John and Pauline’s hobbies include reading, listening to music, camping, photography, traveling, cooking and gardening.
