About Steve & Connie
Steve and Connie Larson are first of all, children of God who have been called to be bondservants of Jesus Christ. Steve says, “My passion ever since I was 14 years old is for Jesus to use me to extend his kingdom and strengthen his church.” In 1975 Steve and Connie married and together they have been on an adventure of following God’s call wherever it took them.
In 1976, Steve and Connie served at Yellowstone Park with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks, where he had the opportunity to preach in outdoor services on Sunday and lead Bible Studies for Park staff during the week. This summer, set the pattern of following God’s leading wherever it might take them.
In 1978, Steve and Connie moved to Newbury Park, California to plant a church. They didn’t really know anyone in this community, but had a strong sense that this is where God wanted them. During the 33 years of ministry at The Bridge (originally named Evangelical Free Church of the Conejo Valley), Steve and Connie saw God build a strong church that has made a difference in their community and around the world. Steve and Connie have been used by God all over the world training missionaries, pastors, and lay leaders. In his travels Steve has served on every continent except Antarctica.
In all of this, Steve’s greatest claim to fame is his family. His wife completed her Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling and has served as a key part of the counseling team at The Bridge. His daughter, Sarah married Daren Blomquist and together with their three children, they serve as strategic leaders at Mission Viejo Rock Harbor. His oldest son, Matt married Kristen and with their 4 children planted and now lead Anthem Church in Thousand Oaks. His youngest son Joe married Heather, and with their two children (and one more on the way) serve the church in China as they train leaders for future service.
As Steve and Connie embark on their adventure with Global Training Network, their passion is that they be used by God to strengthen leaders all over the world in their personal lives, their marriages, and their ministries.
